la petite bump @ 18 weeks

Hello, 18 weeks!

That big milestone is almost here - the half way point is looming, as I'll hit 20 weeks almost a week before Christmas. This past week has felt exhausting once again and I miss that brief burst of energy I had recently - I overdid it with some projects around the house over Thanksgiving weekend, got sick, got better then Austin got an ear infection and stopped sleeping, and now Mitch is away... In other words, I'm just plain old tired. But that's to be expected I guess when pregnant with a 21 month old and 4 year old in tow! I'm trying to lay down when I get the chance during Ollie's quiet time/Austin's nap and drink lots of water, as the braxton hicks have started this past week and can get quite uncomfortable.

The bump is growing, and growing... Although I don't feel quite as huge as I did with Austin, it may just be my imagination (as believe me, I haven't been as regular at the gym lately with sickness and super cold mornings) - perhaps a little comparison will help refresh my memory? 18 weeks with Oliver vs Austin vs baby #3

I've been feeling some bumps and kicks from this little one, although baby isn't quite as crazy active as Oliver & Austin. I haven't been weighing myself at home, mostly because I know that seeing the huge jump in number will just make me feel unreasonably miserable and also because I know that I'm not gaining a ridiculous amount and whatever I do gain, from past experience I can and will lose it! We don't know yet if there will be a baby #4 so I'm just trying to give myself grace and enjoy this pregnancy, instead of stressing over the minor details.

My big ultrasound is booked in for early next week - in other words, watch this space :-)
