Point Lobos, California

One of my goals this summer is to get out somewhere new every weekend - and preferably, for a hike or something outdoors-y. A couple of weekends ago we headed down the coast to Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, a gorgeous spot along the coast just south of Carmel.

It was a super easy trail for the kids (although Mitch ended up wearing Austin most of the way so we could keep a decent pace), we walked along the coast for a couple of hours just enjoying the scenery and spotting sea lions along the way.

Little miss slept the entire way, snug against mama and woke up just in time for her first 'beach' experience, as we had a late picnic lunch in a small pebbled cove.

My only regret about this trip? Not having Mitch's camera in tow. The scenery was so spectacular, my iPhone just couldn't do it justice.
